MORITZ BLEIBTREU
Moritz Bleibtreu began his career after studying acting in Rome, Paris, and New York, starting out at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus. He made his film debut in 1993 with Peter Timm’s Simply Love (Einfach nur Liebe), and achieved his breakthrough with Talk of the Town (Stadtgespräch, 1995), Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door (1996), and Run Lola Run (Lola rennt, 1997), which also brought him international recognition.

In 2020, Moritz Bleibtreu made his highly praised directorial debut with Cortex. For his role in the miniseries Faking Hitler (2021), he was awarded the German Television Award for Best Actor.
