But that's all about to change: Pappalapapp takes both their adult and young listeners seriously, creating a listening experience for the whole family that exudes urban cool. On their debut album, "Mit Pauken und Trompeten" (release date: April 24, 2026), the duo impresses with a high-end sound mix of dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, and pop.
About
Pappalapapp – that's DJ Dave in the Box (David Jürgens) and rapper and singer Falk (Falk Zeiseweis). As with so many great duos, "opposites attract" applies here: Falk is both a free spirit and an adventurer who connects with children in his lyrics, using the wit of a seasoned songwriter. DJ Dave in the Box, on the other hand, is a quirky inventor who, in his home – a wooden cargo box – uses an arsenal of instruments and gadgets to create the unmistakable Pappalapapp sound.
