Since 1993, Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker, whose harmony is the focus of Low, have done pioneering work for the musical subgenre slowcore, only to tear down its walls themselves. On stage they develop a magnetic force in order to use their music to bring the listener out of their darkest emotional depths.

The ten pieces, each built around its own immediate, indisputable center, are charged by the vivid textures that surround them. With every new stanza Layers of distorted sound grow: building, breaking, colossal then reticent, a solemn vow only whispered.
