LOW

Since 1993, Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker, whose harmony is the focus of Low, have done pioneering work for the musical subgenre slowcore, only to tear down its walls themselves. About

With HEY WHAT, Low present their thirteenth full-length album in twenty-seven years of band history and the third in collaboration with producer BJ Burton (Bon Iver, Charlie XCX, Banks, Miley Cyrus).

The ten pieces, each built around its own immediate, indisputable center, are charged by the vivid textures that surround them. The indescribable familiar harmonies of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker break the chaos like a life raft. With every new stanza Layers of distorted sound grow: building, breaking, colossal then reticent, a solemn vow only whispered. It‘s time to unravel and give meaning to the music and art of this time, but not to lose sight of the creative moment.
